Sex Stores

Downtown Intimates

Downtown Intimates is "a new type of adult boutique located in Downtown Minneapolis" that provides queer customers a safe and respectful space to enhance their sexual wellness. Larger than the well known Smitten Kitten, Downtown Intimates offers a much wider variety of sex toys such as vibrators, a variety of lubes and creams, BDSM gear, books, strap-ons, flesh lights, cock rings, dildos, and a great selection of lingerie. The store is spacious and welcoming. It is also very clean and updated. The people who work there are very passionate about sexual health, and they will answer any questions you have and help in any way they can.

Smitten Kitten

Smitten Kitten is known for being a "progressive sex toy store for people of all genders and orientations." it's a sex-positive, feminist-owned, progressive store that is super conscious of different people in the community - they regularly do workshops on subjects like polyamory, colonialism, fat-positivity, sex for cancer survivors, trans/queer people, sex for people with disabilities, and bondage/kink. The owner has they/them pronouns and is committed to the community and gives money to charities. Everyone there is welcoming and kind and won't shame you or make you feel weird about any questions you have or how you present yourself in public, and all of the employees are sex educators who regularly give talks at national sex-ed conventions. Besides the topics above, they could talk to us about packers, harnesses and harness-underwear, binders, flagging, lube, and of course toys.

Clothing Stores

Schuler Shoes

Great place to get shoes from a super LGBT friendly store. Their online selection is spotty and never quite up to date with what's in store. The HarMar Mall location is the best stocked. Highland Park is good too, but they will not have every color of every style.

Gina + Will in Dinkytown

A good thrifting location.

gc2b (Binders)

A great online store to buy binders.

Dykes Do Drag

Dykes Do Drag – the title says a mouthful but not all there is to say. Dykes Do Drag are queers of all genders and orientations that anyone could fall for, celebrating an expanding continuum of gender expression and performance. This performance art cabaret is the longest running show of its kind featuring traditional drag, burlesque, live music, boi-lesque, modern dance, video and visual art, and lip synching in enticing and exciting hilarity. A few more bombastic terms to describe DDD include but are not limited to: sexy, radical, entertaining, titillating, kinky, weird, and fun!
